More than just the common meaning of a “Gate”, that only be the restriction instrument of territory, and dominantly symbolize an authority that makes the design impression looks massive and heavy. That cause the functional existence of a gate only able to be the passive elements of architecture, that only could “quiet” without give much expression and give positives influence for their surrounds environment, from physical into nonphysical aspect. Refers to the case, the design of this Pagar Alam’s Gate was put attention on the concept that cover, Gate as The Meaning of Culture, Gate as Expectation, Gate as The Meaning of Islam, Gate as Living Monument and Gate as The Meaning of Locality.
